Why did you decide to join MSU?

At Kutztown there wasn't anything for minorities to affiliate themselves with except for a few clubs. We wanted to bring something to Kutztown that will leave a positive impact on campus. I decided to pledge MSU out of all sororities because when I met the sisters I can honestly say, I felt at home. I also liked the fact that MSU was unique in many ways. First of all, we are multicultural and I am big with diversity. I have surrounded myself with it my whole life and I wanted the organization I pledge for to represent the true definition of all different women united. I also liked that you can tell that it was more like a family that any other organization I looked into. Another main part of my decision was that when I saw sisters they always represented themselves as the sophisticated young women they set out to represent.

What do you enjoy most about being a Mu?

I enjoy creating bonds with people that I may not have ever met otherwise. Since I have become a sister I have made some strong bonds with alot of extraordinary women. These women are my family and family is important to me.

Tell us a little about yourself (education, occupation, personal life, etc.)

I graduated from Kutztown University in May 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. I currently work as a social worker for Community Services for Children, Inc. in Allentown, PA. I plan to attend Kutztown for my masters degree in the near future. I am a proud founder of the Gorgeous Genesis Chapter and very involved with my chapter. I also am a member of the PA District step team and proud of that as well. I am currently the Officer of Membership for District 3 and plan to help improve and expand within our district.
