Why did you decide to join MSU?

I decided to join Mu Sigma Upsilon because I had grown up in a truly diverse environment in Jersey City and felt comfortable in an organization that fostered the same kind of diversity. Also, I connected with all the MSU sisters that I met, and in the end what makes a sorority are the sisters that are in it and I felt as though I could really call the members of MSU my sisters.

What do you enjoy most about being a Mu?

MSU has so many outlets for a sister to participate, perform, and enjoy. Currently I am on the National Governing Council of the organization and I enjoy contributing to the progress of the sorority on a national level. I have been part of the Ghawazee National Step Team and loved performing in shows and competitions, traveling to different places for these shows, and meeting new people such as other step teams. But one of the things I have most enjoyed is meeting and getting to know sisters from every walk of life and learning something from each of them.

Tell us a little about yourself (education, occupation, personal life, etc.)

I was born in the Philippines, but came to the United States when I was 2 and have lived in Jersey City, NJ ever since. I attended St. Aedan's School, McNair Academic High School, and New York University. I graduated from NYU with a B.A. in Politics in 2003. I am currently engaged to be married in October 2006.
