SISTER
TESTIMONIALS

MEMBER:
Lorean "Ludi" Valentin
CHAPTER:
Founding Sister of the Evadne Chapter, Spring 2002
EDUCATION:
B.A English, Minor in Political Science, Class of 2006
Why did you decide to join MSU?
I joined MSU so that I can be a part of an organization that did
more than just talk about who they were. They were and still are a living
example of what is the essence of True Family and diversity.
What do you enjoy most about being a Mu?
The thing that I enjoy most about being a sister of MSU is that I
am able to connect with people from all walks of life. I never imagined
how strong my connection would be with sisters who are much wiser in
age and of a different nationalities than mine who all grew up in a
different states under opposite circumstances; This bond is something
that will and could never be broken. MSU is always in my Heart.
Tell us a little about yourself (education, occupation, personal
life, etc.)
Born and raised in Spanish Harlem and South Bronx. The oldest of 4
children. First generation college student. I have had a variety of
jobs that included serving food, washing dishes, cleaning toilets, tutoring,
babysitting, Pre-K assistant and currently am an administrative assistant.
I believe it is important to work your way from the bottom up and always
remember where you come from. Your environment should not shape you,
it doesn't state who you are. You are who you are NO MATTER where you
come from. Always remember the sacrifices you made and the people who
mean the most to you made to get you where you are today.
