SISTER
TESTIMONIALS
MEMBER:
Carolyn O'Neal
CHAPTER:
Orisha Chapter, SUNY New Paltz – Spring 2005
Why did you decide to join MSU?
I decided to join MSU because on my campus there weren't many multicultural
organizations. I have always been passionate about other people and
the various cultures that exist around the world. I have also always
longed to learn and interact with a group of women with a common goal
in life like mine.
The way that MSU gives back to the community is incredible. Before joining
MSU I have always participated in walks and various community services.
But the impact that one organization as a whole can contribute is amazing.
It's something that gives back in major proportions to the people that
need it the most.
What do you enjoy most about being a Mu?
I love the sisterhood and the great women that I have gotten to meet
and greatly admire. I love the fact that if I need anything I can call
any one of them, and they'll be there for me at any given moment. I
love going to different events and supporting one another in any way
we can. And even though I crossed last year, I feel that being a sister
for this short period of time has taught me alot about life and myself.
Tell us a little about yourself (education, occupation, personal
life, etc.)
