COMMUNITY
& UNIVERSITY SERVICE
Mu Sigma Upsilon recognizes that we are all extensions of the communities
in which we were raised. Our communities include our family, our neighborhoods,
our schools, etc. There is a need to give back to these communities
to ensure that future generations are able to progress and succeed as
much if not more than we have.
MSU provides services through formal or informal partnerships with local
nonprofit and community-based organizations, as designed to improve
the quality of life for community residents or to solve particular problems
related to community needs such as health care, child care, literacy
training, education (including tutuorial services), welfare, social
services, transportation, housing and neighborhood improvement, public
safety, crime prevention and control, recreation, rural development,
and community improvement, students with disabilities, etc.
Through programs, workshops, and philanthropy efforts Mu Sigma Upsilon
hopes to participate in the progress of our communities and universities.
